Trip to Perth

Well we might be the last city in Australia to see the AC/DC exhibition, but atleast we got to see it finally. It's been in Darwin then to the Coathanger country, and then someone left the gate open and it was across the border into Victoria. And finally it made it into sleepy old Perthtown and into the Western Australian Museum, But now it was time to introduce the little nevilles to a piece of Australia's legendary history, and no I wasn't introducing them to the Famous Toronto Tigers 5th grade baseball champions but to the legendary AC/DC. The rock band that made the catch fraze 'lock up your daughters', a part of Australia's cultural musical history.

This was some of the uniforms that angus wore during some concerts and this is what Augus said about THAT SCHOOL UNIFORM.... 'My sister [Margaret] came up with the idea back in 1973, when I was fifteen … As a kid, I’d come right home from school and pick up my guitar without changing out of my school uniform. At dinner time I’d still be in the suit, playing away. She thought it was cute – it would give people something to look at'.

It's a bit dark but thats Sarah in frount off an original Highway to hell World tour Jacket (1979), the Jacket was released to support the Highway to Hell tour. AC/DC embacked upon a huge 53 date tour of the United States, followed by tours to the UK and Europe that ran for six months.... crikey.

Jacko was his normal self when having a taste of the Acda on the earphones, as Harrison rocked on and through his hands into the air and got right into it. As for Sarah she liked it but..... as she say's 'it's not really the wiggles is it'?

Angus Young's SG custum model electric guitar a Gibson USA (1992). This guitar comes from Angus Youngs own collection, and was used during the early 1990's before being signed and donated to the Powerhouse Museum in Sydeny.

There was a music video set showing heaps of songs from AC/DC in concert, which with the sound up loud was just unbelieveably Beaut! or should I say Thuderstucking beaut! As you can see the photo was a bit buried from the shaking of the floor!

Last Picture show Dance concert poster.... (June 1974) 'Most of the guys in Australian bands are getting it on ... they're out of touch with the kids that go to suburban dances' said Malcolm Young

Harrison in frount of an AC/DC concert poster... what a beaut time spent reliving some of our past history (lisening to the radio), and makes a good change from looking at dinasour bones in the Museum... trust me!
